Stevie here and typically I am not the huge movie buff but there have been a stack of movies on my NETFLIX list that I want to see as well as those that I missed in theaters or got rave reviews from friends who love culti-ish, foreign, or unusual films. So here’s a blast for all you film junkies who LOVE to get the scoop on what’s coming out NOW

DON’T TELL– An Oscar Nominated Film!!

Based upon the celebrated novel La Bestia nel Cuore, DON’T TELL is the mesmerizing story of a woman’s journey into her past and the aftermath of confronting personal demons long hidden beneath the surface of her psyche.  Sabina (Giovanna Mezzogiorno), a beautiful young woman who seemingly has it all–a supportive and loving boyfriend, a comfortable lifestyle, and a promising future. Sabina learns she is pregnant–typically a happy event — she finds herself  haunted by  nightmares, strange memories, and personal insecurities that send Sabina’s world spiraling out of control.
While avoiding her boyfriend Franco (Alessio Boni), Sabina flees to America where she stays with  her brother Daniele (Luigi Lo Cascio) and his family.  While staying with family,  Sabina uncovers dark, disturbing  truths that she begins to question her own sanity as well as life, love, and her future happiness, leading to an intense psychological climax that finds Sabina at a crossroads of redemption or destruction.

Romantic Triangle — LA MUJER DE MI HERMANO

On April 14, a movie from director Ricardo de Montreuil LA MUJER DE MI HERMANO  is released.  A beautiful, moving drama from After almost ten years of marriage, the stunningly attractive Zoe (Barbara Mori) realizes that her marriage to Ignacio (Christian Meier) lacks  the passion and spark it once had.  Emotionally adrift, she searches for  passion and romance, and is soon seduced by Gonzalo (Manolo Cardona),
her husband’s brother.  At first, Zoe becomes reinvigorated by the romance.  Her decision causes a cascade of events that drives these three people through a gauntlet of revenge, secret and despair that will unravel them all. The movie’s website is worth checking out –particularly the e-cards!
