The Kin Talk About The Rise And Fall Of The New CD

What’s really interesting about interviewing musicians is that you hopefully get a chance to peek inside their creative world.. if they are willing to let you into what they are doing. Not everyone can or will do it, but sometimes they do.

As you listen to this third podcast with THE KIN, it’s Thorry and Isaac and me in the car driving around Pennsylvania and talking about the music and how they create it and how they work with their producer.

The guys also talk about how they changed up the original Blue on Blue that I heard earlier in the year, when they were last in LA in the parking garage (illustrated here). Totally re-arranged in music and lyrics, it’s absolutely delicious and they explain how it came to be– along with other songs.

So have a listen and let me know what you think. It’s been seriously edited down and there is the noise from the car and listen hard to hear some of the comments– because we were on the run that day.

The individual shots of Thorry and Isaac, I shot that day with them at the cafe at along with the images of the farmhouse that were shot later that day with Isaac.
PS For those of you in the greater LA area, THE KIN, JOSH KELLEY and PAT MCGEE BAND will be LIVE tonight October 16, 2007 at THE TROUBADOUR. Check them out at ticketmaster or order tickets by fax for pick up at the window. This is the tail end of the tour– only a couple more South West dates for this tour and then The KIN head back to NYC!
