Fushion Magazine Beauty/Fashion Event Does It' Well Above Average"
Recently I was in New York City for a week of interviews (on both sides of the table) and it was pretty fun. However it also seemed that while I was scheduling a ton of appointments on the “right” coast, I was also missing out on several events on the left coast (Jeff Sebelia Personal Appearance at J. Ransom to name one).
The Fushion Magazine American Music Awards Royal Suite event was another!
Luckily I was able to get Stella from Well Above Aveage Blog to attend and cover this event for me. Seems in terms of spa events, she got a whole lot more for her time than I did. (sadly, I had not one spa treatment in NYC. I flat ran out of time as I ran across town via subways, buses, a single cab, and a pair of feet !!)
While I was battling cold weather (ok ok.. it wasn’t as cold as November usually is in NYC but I am an LA beach baby.. what do you want from me?), Stella was pampered by Makeup Mandy from makeup to lash extensions.. she does it all! Stella raved about the Pumpkin Peel and even I was drooling over that one for the beautiful things it does for one’s skin.
David of Bella Beverly Hills treated her to a wonderous massage (again I am jellus.. waaaaay tooo jealous!!) , There were many other brands and lines participating at this event. You just will have to read her entire blog to hear about it. (To be honest, I am too jealous to continue. Not really because Stella deserves the respite and fun but I wish I had gone too)
This was not just a bunch of foo foo.. it was for a good cause– Project Cuddle, who rescues newborn babies and places them in safe environmenst. This organization has saved 623 babies to-date from being abandoned in a dumpster and who was instrumental in the passage of California’s Safe Surrender law.
So my friends, please check out Stella’s blog for the goodies, treats and swag and I will start telling you in bits, pieces and video clips what New York City was all about.
Think about it– an LA girl traveling up and down 6 subways, 1 bus, and a cab (because I was too ripped to take the subway according to my BFF) .
Stay tuned– there’s lots more to come about Shu Uemura, Johnny Depp at the Actors Studio, Videos with tons of people and also LA-Story.com
