Want a Flawless Face? Don't Just Sit There, INTERVENE by Elizabeth Arden is THE Way to Go!

This is a repeat of a post for Intervene. Little did I realize I was supposed to post a before and after. Keep reading and looking
Recently I was asked to “test drive” some products from Elizabeth Arden– essentially the product is the new Intervene Makeup (read foundation) SPF 15.

This is a new product from Arden and it’s unique formula features a new technology called Biodormin that helps delay and defuses the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while offering a firmer look to the skin. Given the current events in my life lately — deadlines and events– I gladly signed up to test this baby out.
This is a liquid foundation for normal skin (dry skin would love it too) and it provides an SPF 15 and a more medium to full coverage. I think that it’s a more medium finish depending on how much you use. I was able to get away with 1.5 pumps (don’t ask me how I got the .5 pump..please!) and covered my entire face –using either fingertips or a brush. I always use a brush to finish the application and it really clung to my skin and not the brush. Layer it on for a bit more of a coverage aka concealer, layer on a full second coat and get that full coverage finish that isn’t matte but more buffed looking. Nice– not dry and it doesn’t settle into lines or make your face feel taut at the end of the day. It’s one of those day to night foundation that really IS day to night.
My color that I got was Soft Sunbeige. I picked it off a website chart (yeah.. really!) Surprisingly close match with golden undertones but maybe a shade or two too light. It’s useable but it’s just a fraction too light and just gives me a more porcelain look and if you know what I look like, that’s hard to do with a more olive/yellow-toned skin.

Here’s the before from today: I was at a suite yesterday for the Grammys and decided to go “LP” (low profile) today and skip the foundation and junk today– just dusted on some bronzer and did my eyes.

AFTER
I have the after shot from 2 weeks ago– which is unretouched and looks surprisingly great. It’s just Intervene with a bit of their bronzer dusted on with some blush and of course the requisite eye makeup!
