It’s time for Celebrity Style Slam!– UK Stylist Michaela Jedinak’s commentary on the celebrity fashion winners and losers. Michaela comments regularly on a variety of current celebrities at events or about town and how their style chalks up in her typical “call them as she sees them” manner.

Celebrities Featured: Chloe Sevigny and Cindy Crawford
Chloe Sevigny

Colour: Black can work for her but not here and not in this look and outfit. She looks like an old witch who is ready to take off any minute on her broomstick. We have spring and a new season of fashion has started. This look is old and dated.
Bodyshape: There is so much going on the top half that you can’t see anything. This oversized coat and fitted dress don’t work really with each other, but rather building bulk everywhere on her top half and therefore really not flattering her bodyshape.
Also, wearing a scarf doesn’t help here- it would have been already so much better dropping the scarf, so it would have given way to- what I just can assume- a fitted décolleté line. Her tiny legs really don’t go with the fullness on top- it looks all very unproportional.
Style: As mentioned the whole look is out and not in. Even that little colour she wears on her lips and nails is just far too harsh for that look- it cheapens it all. The little black clutch bag really don’t go with this shapeless bulk- it looks far too small in size
. Plus the whole outfit with the biker boots don’t work with this evening type of clutch bag. She would have better opted for a tote or shoulder bag instead.
Overall look: 1*( No excuse for her not to be top of her game) One Star

Cindy Crawford

Colour: Wonderful- a soft teal is fabulous for her complexion- great choice for evening event- it simply makes her look fresh and young.
Bodyshape: A total “Pro”put together outfit. It has bigger straps for her fuller bosom and also the right décolleté line, so it looks all proportional. The dress is showing off her high waist by draping loosely around it. The advantage of being high waisted is that you add detail and volume to this area – as she does by wearing a brooch. The loose, flowing hemline balances perfectly with her broader shoulders.
Style: This woman just rocks! The whole look is so “of the moment” and so well put together for her personality, bodyshape, colouring, age and occasion. Her open hair gives it an effortless feel to it. The earrings complement the brooch, handbag and shoes. The look is current by wearing an elegant version of the gladiator shoes and also by adding a contrasting colour in her handbag.
Overall Style: 6****** Six Stars
* Stevie’s Note: Wow…… Chloe Sevigny really seemed to blow it. There’s no reason except she didn’t seem to want to dress up– so just picked out the first thing in her closet that she saw.
Now this is a real style lesson.
