It’s the summer of love; it’s the summer of color; it’s the summer of loving what’s coming over the rainbow — as in rainbow bright shades of shoes, accessories, dresses, tops, lips, eyes and even nail polish.
New York Best Bets featured a great photo of gumball bright nails– something that was very eye-catching and yet a bit surrealistic.
Photographer Levi Brown nailed this photo to a T– with shades of polish from OPI and
Priti Organic Spa (red, $12.50; 35 E. 1st St., nr. Second Ave.; 212-254-3628). While we don’t have Priti Spa here, we have Bliss, Paint Shoppe and lots of other nail places scattered across LA like so many goody bags that one can’t drive past any block or two without seeing a nail shop. While getting a great manicure is essential, these opaque, high gloss nail enamels rival anything found on a super-expensive sports car in shine and color.
So get with the LA vibe and dig into these colors and then sport them with some sassy sandals! Best Bets suggested gladiators and jelly sandals– out here in LA, jellys are so uncomfortable that you might was well slip on a pair of glittery Haviana thongs
