We love the Compai line. We love the Compai Sisters: Faith and Justina Blakeney
I dig this line, these ladies with their oh-so-creative spirit and entrepreurial too. These are designs you do not see coming and going. They are not in every boutique, but they are clever, wearable and oh-so-stylish. Meaning it’s not trendy– it’s FASHION and STYLE.
We definitely *heart* the Compai “99 Ways to … ” books on how to rework tees, denim and scarves into something amazing. (I have seen the Compai line. I have bought a vest from the line and wanted to buy a tee, pants – and well lots more.)
They have the coolest things and I can even do something with the books and scarves that don’t require a sewing machine — because I don’t have one. (eeek ! I know. I am so not there. I am ashamed to say that)

What we love even more is that the site gives us video how-to’s on how to create edgy fashion from old threads (and I mean clothes, fabric, rags, whatever) as well as other things too. It’s about getting creative– not spendy.

This is a no brainer to read them. The books will pay for themselves and maybe you can have a party working on doing these tees, jeans and scarf things. I certainly liked the idea of the embellished tank. I would mix up the fabric bits but keep them in the same color family or work with various patterns of red or blue– think prints, stripes, solids and mix it all up for a bit of funky fashion. Find them on Amazon.com and major bookstores and even the Compai website.
