Introducing a New Fashion Event: Expose NY- Creativity Courtesy of Designs and Events Whiz, Matt Meyerson!
New York Fashion Week is kicking off and everyone is both anticipating and dreading the routine of the runway shows and parties. While we see the same routine presented over and over, there is something new emerging in the fashion arena and it’s coming not from NYC, but out of California with a nod to NYFW but with a serious twist on the presentation of brands to the media and fashion leaders.
Expose NY will debut in a centrally located private loft in Midtown Manhattan on Sept. 4th, 2008. A baker’s dozen of collections from as far as Australia, Italy, Brazil and the Meatpacking will showcase their Spring ’09 collections for New York’s best fashion editors, stylists, fashion writers and select buyers
This invite-only fete will be an all day open house and will establish a new category of trade events set around the seasonal catwalk shows in NY and Los Angeles.
What is EXPOSE?
Check out this podcast discussion with Expose creator, Matt Meyerson.
Expose, the brainchild of former fashion product placement and PR specialist, Matt Meyerson, is the first of its kind to cater to the people who decide what brands get coverage in the best magazines, on the best TV shows, on the backs of the biggest celebrities and on the cyberpages of the most trafficked websites and blogs– and it’s about time to cater to the press, stylists and bloggers who make fashion news happen — and for some, help it pick up serious speed and traffic.
The focus of Expose is the product and the designer. . Each brand showcasing at the event went through a rigorous approval process where the line was assessed on its current collection, the accounts it sells in, celebrity fans and past press coverage.
Expose hopes to have something for every type of outlet and based on the current (and growing) roster seems to be reaching it’s goal. Featurins an array of designers that will blow the lid off fashion week, you will see
