Referred to as the “it” swag of Art Basel Miami Beach, Tommy Hilfiger and Free Arts NYC’s limited-edition tote is now available to the masses.
This cool tote features images by late artist Jeremy Blake, was presented to the guests of the Vanity Fair and Tommy Hilfiger event at the Raleigh. Once word spread that the tote was a gift upon departure, guests scurried to snag a bag and make an exit.
Jeremy Blake was an internationally recognized artist who is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in merging the traditions of painting with a new digital world.Blake’s aesthetically stylized works addressed a range of subjects from violence and terrorism to glamour and decadence, from metaphors of architectural spaces to profiles of cultural personifications. Blake committed suicide in July 2007 in New York City one week after his beloved companion of 12 years, Theresa Duncan, committed suicide.

“I am thrilled to announce the unveiling of the Tommy Hilfiger and Free Arts NYC limited- edition Jeremy Blake tote,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “I am very proud to be involved in such an extraordinary project and am optimistic that the funds raised will provide the opportunity for underprivileged children that they may not have received otherwise.”

Retailing for $125 online at www.tommy.com and at locations in Miami, New York and Washington D.C., 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the bag will fund a new photography program for low-income children in New York City
