Oscar Fashion: Feteafete.com Blog & LA-Story.com Celebrity Fashion Commentary

Feteafete.com Blogger Tami and I thought it might be interesting to compare notes on various celebrities who seemed pretty much to get it right for the Oscars. This is a 5 part series of posts (one each day) of key celebrities and what we thought about their ensembles.
Most of these images have been widely seen, they are easily recognizable and have been out there for a while. Tami’s known for her work with fashion designer Colleen Quen and loves featuring unique “quintessential” fashions and accessories (have you seen her blog lately? It’s chock full of interesting fashion items). She has serious fashion chops!!
As a former stylist and print & online fashion editor, it’s all about the style and how it works on the body that’s wearing it.
Marion Cotillard:

Vive La France! Cotillard nailed it with elegant drama without going over the top with Dior. Stunning, deceptively simple, yet classy – everything I adore about French couture.

I find this outfit intriguing. I wasn’t hot for it right off– but then when I took a good look at the entire ensemble, what’s not to like? . The deep color is so very flattering for her and the shape of the dress creates a very retro-glam 1950’s glamour that’s dramatic and works for her. Unlike others who went strapless, , she wore a necklace which creates interest and leads the eye to Cotillard’s face. Love the ring she has on — it’s stunning!
