There I was watching a DVR’d NCIS episode featuring Mark Harmon and crew and a song comes on in an opening scene and it’s a voice I recognize– Will Dailey, an alt/indie, deep into the roots of rock music with a unique flavor that’s so very distinctive. However I questioned whether I was correct because it wasn’t a song I knew. It took me till the end of the episode to actually find out it was Will for sure– presenting an entirely new tuen.

The February 24 episode of NCIS will mark the premiere of a brand-new song from acclaimed musician Will Dailey. “Tomorrow Still Comes,” is another exclusive track from NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack, which was released last week and is already the #1 Television Soundtrack in the country and one of the Top 5 soundtracks in any genre.
Based in Boston, Dailey was named one of that city’s best musicians in 2006, earning a Boston Music Award as Best Male Singer/Songwriter and signaling what local audiences and a growing legion of fans nationwide had been discovering: That Will Dailey was a vital and important new voice in music, armed with a wealth of memorable songs and a distinctive sound.
The past few years have seen Dailey building on the promise of his first two albums through a series of cross-country tours, national TV appearances (including an on-camera performance on CSI:NY and The CBS Early Show), high-profile concerts (Farm Aid in 2008) and preparation for an ambitious series of recording projects scheduled throughout 2009. While the song is really interesting and seems to be quite different from anything Dailey has done before on Back Flipping Forward (CD #2), this song isn’t on his newest CD, Torrent Vol 1: Fashion of Distraction. . (Can’t wait for Torrent Vol. 2).
Dailey will be playing at the Hotel Cafe on 3/5/09 early– so get there quick. Also he’s on tour across the east coast after that– returning to his roots in Boston.
This is a CD that’s a “must buy”. A review will be forthcoming along with a phone interview as soon as a time to get Will on the phone .
