Kicking Off Summer Smoothly with Fabulous Tequila Cocktails!

Given that it’s summer time, you need to be thinking about small gatherings with friends who appreciate the finer things in life but also know that it’s about the company and not about how much you spend that makes the event special. The effort of creating a drink like the Rosangel Ruby Fizz will certainly create a unique and fun atmosphere because this drink is spectacular.
A little pricy on assembling the ingredients but you will have enough left over for at least another event (or round depending on how many people you invite. I would suggest you buy 2 bottles of the Rosangel because I am already devising a couple of recipes that would be stellar.
Rosangel is the first-ever hibiscus infused tequila, made from a reposado base, and rested in port barrels for an additional two months by Gran Centenario

The Rosangel Ruby Fizz
2 ounces Rosangel Tequila
½ ounce Agave Syrup
½ ounce Ruby Port
1 bar spoon Pomegranate Molasses
¾ ounce Lemon Juice
½ ounce Egg White
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a highball glass with one large ice cube. Top with Club Soda and garnish with a cherry.
Other recipes– my twist on some favorites and a new one.
1) Try making a Cosmo using Rosangel, substituting for the vodka– much improved and a different quality flavor!!
2) A margarita would take on a much different spin if you use Rosangel– and while it would be pink, it would still be open to the lime for a bit of sweet/tart balance yet still not be overwhelming in either direction
3) Mix this with lemonade for a uniquely different pink lemonade and don’t forget to get some edible flower petals to float on top
4) A cocktail featuring watermelon muddled with the Rosangel would be sensation and add a bit of tonic for fizz.
This exquisite cocktail from mixologist extraordinaire Julie Reiner (Flatiron Lounge and Clover Club – NYC), uses Rosangel, the first-ever hibiscus infused tequila, made from a reposado base, and rested in port barrels for an additional two months by Gran Centenario. (40% Alc./Vol. – $36.99/750 ml)

While Bloody Marys are typically made with vodka, here’s a tequila version twist on a Bloody Maria made with Tanteo Chipotle Tequila, an ultra-premium 100% agave blanco tequila infused with roasted chipotle peppers from the rugged mountains of Chihuahua, Mexico. Smoky and spicy, with a hint of agave sweetness, this well balanced tequila adds just the right amount of smoke to your spicy cocktail recipes.

BBQ Bloody Maria

2 Oz. Tanteo® Chipotle Tequila

3 Oz. Bloody mary Mix

1 Oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice

1/2 Oz. Agave Nectar (or simple syrup)

Method:

Combine ingredients in an ice-filled Collins Glass.
Stir to mix flavors.
Garnish with a ridiculous garnish, the bigger, the better.
