Thanks to Kaz Amor and staff, here are some of the latest trends and tips for getting great hair “looks” and how to stay looking fabulous all summer long(even when it’s feels like 104 degrees out there).

Color for Summer

I always love lightening up for summer. If you are a brunette you can go from medium brown to a light brown and do light buttery highlights to frame the face. It’s so complimentary to tan or golden skin that comes out in the summer months. If you are already a blonde, you can add soft creamy highlights around the face to get a similar effect.

Hair Styles for Summer
It is all about hair accessories this summer. Headband with flowers and bows, even exaggerated pieces, are really great because you can change up your look everyday.

Use a 1 inch barrel curling iron on 1 inch sections of hair and curl from the top down. Let hair cool and then run your fingers through it.

Wet to Dry flat irons are a great tool for going curly to straight. Start with a wet head and then flat iron small sections (1/4 or 1/2 inch sections). Once is hair is dry use a serum to hydrate and smooth.

5) How to keep color from fading and how to stretch the life of the process ( recession proof your hair color)
There are so many sulfate free shampoos on the market today that are designed specifically to stop color from fading. B The Product and Purology have great shampoos that will really stretch the life of your color. Also want to avoid washing hair too often because that will contribute to fading the color. A great alternative is utlize a dry shampoo like Unite’s 7 second dry shampoo.
6) How to best deep condition/protect your hair.
Redken and Kerastase have a range of amazing deep conditioners that work for your hair. It’s really important to talk to you stylists about what conditioning treatments work best for your hair. A big mistake people make is that they just buy a conditioner without finding one that really works for your hair.
7) Things you don’t know that you can get done at Warren-Tricomi.
Extensions. We are using this great new type of extension to hit the market that one of our celebrity hairstylists Kristin Ess is doing.
They have never looked more natural and take about an hour to apply (as opposed to 5-8 hrs).
The best part is they are almost invisible in the hair because of the unique way they bond to locks: a strip of permanent tape that is waterproof and lasts on average two months. Celebrity clients including Lauren Conrad and Amanda Bynes are thrilled about these particular extensions because they can stay in for about two months but can be taken out as quickly and easily as they were put in which makes it less of a commitment. The extensions come in any color so you can do highlights to lowlights as you would regularly color hair, or you can even add color to hair with the extension rather than having to color the whole head.
Price ranges from $750-$1500 for first round including hair. Hair can be used for a second time and price for touchups is usually half of the first amount.
Eyebrows – we have amazing eyebrow experts at WT that specialize in customized tweezing, waxing and tinting to flatter individual eyes and face shape.
Definitely Warren Tricomi in LA is a salon to visit for all your beauty needs. Not only is it a great salon, it’s relaxing and low-key and they have a wide selection of products!!
