Debutante Clothing Shows Off "Killer" Vintage Fashions in the Online Store.

Given the current economy, vintage makes perfect sense. In the fashion scene, it also makes perfect sense because it’s 1) one of a kind pieces that you can tweak (tailor) to fit your body type and 2) keeps your looking like walking to a different drummer — which you are– instead of one of the pack of look-alikes. I was at American Rag yesterday in Fashion Island doing a series of videos on vintage and how to put it together and work it into your closet. It’s all about creating *your* style.
So in light of that, Debutante Clothing should be on your radar because she scopes out some seriously great fashions that are true one of a kind pieces that are in fabulous shape and make a serious statement– and it makes you one of a kind (which is the point).
We *heart* Debutante Clothing’s blog and her store because she does all the work for you in finding the fab fashions of time gone by– and that can make you look amazing!

1970s Red Abstract Rose Print Asymmetric One Shoulder Dress
This little sundress is a piece of art! It looks very much like a swingy 1950s full skirt dress but it’s actually from the 1970s. Lanz is famous for its prints and easy to wear pieces. They always add special touches to every garment such as the swirled seam line in the skirt to create a flouncy look. The roses are what intrigue me most. These bold abstract florals are not your typical feminine print. And we have seen abstract floral prints for several seasons now, so this dress is right on trend. The cotton is very light. The red is a true tomato red.
The flirty asymmetric shoulder is another of those whimsical details Lanz is famous for. The dress zips up the back with a nylon zipper. There is enough fabric on the strap to adust the length if necessary.

1960s Grey & Lemongrass Striped Mod Tent Dress
This amazing mod, striped dress is everything you need in a fun summer dress. The swingy A line gives this tent dress plenty movement for those hot summer nights. The crispness of the linen blend keeps it structured, but cool at the same time. The diagonal stripes are so complimentary in dark grey, lemongrass yellow, white, and wheat. It zips up the back with a white metal zipper. The cute little gum drop buttons are purely decorative but oh so sweet. What’s great about this dress is that it practically fits all sizes and shapes.
The fabric is made of the nices knit linen I have ever seen. Perfect for humid days. Pair this with a pair of gladiator sandals and your set for a day of fun in the sun.

1960s Hot Pink Watercolor Floral Sheer Dress
Shocking Pink! This gorgeous dress is for the woman who dares to go bold. The hot pink background color is punctuated by azure and violet flowers. The sheer fabric makes the florals look like they were painted on with the most gentle strokes. Wispy and feminine. The skirt featued pleats that dance as you walk. There are so many pretty feminine details. The dress zips up the back and has a structured mock turtleneck line. It zips up the back with a pink metal zipper and feautres little belt loops. It is lined in the emost intense, yet tasteful, hot pink tafetta.
Condition: It is missing one little fastner at the nape of the neck, but no other damage.
