Still a Holiday Weekend: What Are You Going to Drink? Check These Ideas!

It’s still a holiday weekend and the party isn’t over quite yet. Here are a few ideas for drinks that span a range of spirits so that you can decide on what to drink or you can offer guests an opportunity to taste test your bartending acumen. After all, it’s probably your place and if not, you can get creative elsewhere and even suggest something to the bartender of your local lounge on what you want. Sometimes they learn a thing or two about changing up a drink.
Start off with a champagne + Ventura Limencello for a Limosa (mimosa is orange juice).
Recipe:
For any cocktail containing champagne , good champagne is worth buying. It’s the difference between stainless steel and sterling silver.
I would highly recommend Moet Imperial for an amazing bubbly champagne

Bistro Champagne Lemonade!
Paul Martin’s American Bistro (El Segundo and Roseville, California,) is well-known for its specialty cocktails like the Bistro Champagne Lemonade
1 1/2 oz. lemon vodka (Paul Martin’s uses housemade Meyer Lemon infused vodka).
In case you can’t get that, try using Three Olives Citrus Vodka which will be a good version.
1 oz fresh lemonade (Lazy people use Paul Newman’s lemonade in the refrigerated section of their market)
1/2 oz. Ventura Limoncello Originale

1/2 oz. simple syrup (equal parts sugar and boiling water)

Above ingredients (except basil and champagne)) are combined in a shaker on the rocks and shaken to blend, then strained into a martini. Garnish with basil leaves, and top with 1 oz champagne or sparkling wine. Serves one.
Want more than one? Create a pitcher full and use an entire bottle of the champagne, vodka and Limencello. It’s fabulous.

Here’s a tweak on the recipe using Tequila. A great choice would be Maestro Dobel tequila to replace the vodka, plus adding in the Volcano Lemon and Lime Burst juices to the lemonade.
1 1/2 oz. Maestro Dobel Tequila .

1 oz fresh lemonade (Lazy people use Paul Newman’s lemonade in the refrigerated section of their market)
Add in about 1 Tablespoon (to taste) of the Volcano Lemon Burst and perhaps one of Lime Burst as well for a real tweak on the lemonade to *pop* that lemon-y taste.
1/2 oz. Ventura Limoncello Originale
1/2 oz. simple syrup (equal parts sugar and boiling water)
2 torn basil leaves
Champagne or sparkling wine — Try Moet Imperial as shown above. You can’t go wrong with Moet!
