SpitterBot does the work for a fan, and to offer an example – if I am a Washington Husky fan then it’s helpful to me to not have to check out 10 different sites for news and information on my team when Spitter.com presents the collective content in one easy-to-navigate area. Then I can immediately interact with the Husky Nation that has been fostered on Spitter, so we can talk about the new recruit that Washington is looking at.

Spitter was created by former executives and developers (Peter Gruman and David Eckoff ) who helped build and launch both Rivals.com and Scout.com so popular they are now part of the Yahoo! and FOXSports.com networks respectively. Both sites were created during the “Internet Gold Rush” days, and were the first sports sites to popularize message boards, providing sports fans with an online voice long before the advent of blogging..

Like something out of an “Ocean’s 11” movie, specialists from the original team were recruited from across the country to create Spitter: a former executive out of Seattle; another out of Atlanta; the original design artist out of Nashville; thus creating a “virtual company” that relied on experience more than actual location, a strong advantage in a recovering economy.
All you sports fans– no matter your sport– check out Spitter.com for all the scoop on your favorite teams and players.
