What a Girl Wants, What a Girl Needs: Hair Tools that Really Work!

Going back and forth between straight and curly hair styles, I have been testing a lot of different tools and products. Along with changing up the look, it means a change in technique as well as personal fashions but you will see this series feature a lot of different things– so stay tuned for gift ideas as well as personal splurges.

Product lines I love include FHI Heat has a colorful new combination pack of its popular lightweight Nano Weight Pro 1900 Blow Dryer and Technique® 1-inch Styling Iron, in sizzling holiday red. The Nano Weight Pro 1900 Blow Dryer offers FHI Heat’s proprietary Nano-Fuzeion technology, a unique combination of Nano-Titanium, Nano-Titanium Oxide and Nano-Silver particles. The Nano-Fuzeion technology leaves hair soft and shiny, while removing chemical build-up, toxins, bacteria and static. plus the ceramic and tourmaline technology, low EMF (electro magnetic field), it emits gentle far infrared heat to prevent damage to hair. The Technique styling iron can either curl or smooth hair, while heating up to an impressive 410 degrees. This combo pack retails for $199.00 and bought separately would cost a lot more than that nifty money-saving price.
The Remington styling tools are affordable and widely available. These uber-cool limited edition tools are really hot– and the price tag makes the super easy to buy for stocking stuffers or a gift for the BFF.
Exclusive to Target is the dryers and flat iron in the Cool Style collection that features an array of 4 different colors/prints at $19.99

Only at Walmart are the Wet to Dry Irons available in the 2 inchMistletoe Smooch (red) and 1 inch Superplum Fairy (purple) for $29.99

Solano’s new dryer
is smokin- haute.. and will get your hair dry fast without it burning up or frying your hair. It’s got an amazing warranty: register within 30 days of purchase and they will provide lifetime warranty–meaning if it dies, they replace it (except for exceptional abuse).
Also one more great tool to have on hand– that I have been test-driving is the Glam Palm Flat Iron that is superb!

What’s unique about Glam Palm?
I wrote about this flat iron in October and when I got to test it– found that my hair had met its match in a flat iron that is smooth, consistent and reduces my wild curls to smooth waves and even straight shiny hair that has no frizz. While it’s pricey from $196-$208, it’s worth every penny for the consistent performance– and over the long term and elimination of the damage your hair would undergo otherwise.
