CES= Consumer Electronic Show: What's Hot, What's Not. Video!

Let’s talk about CES— the techie heaven and hellish gauntlet that draws tech products and vendors to Vegas along with a slew of journalists to talk about the hot new products that are hitting stores soon– either post show, right now or those that are slated hopefully for holiday 2010.

Here’s a video featuring:

Mashable’s own Ben Parr sat down with Wired’s Mark Mcclusky and CNN to preview some of the devices and trends we might be seeing at this week’s upcoming Consumer Electronics Show.
In the video below, they talk 3D TV, tablets, electronic book readers, and how Palm and Microsoft will probably showcase strategies in mobile to answer the runaway success of Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android platforms.
Other factors to consider include whether Google’s expected Nexus One announcement on January 5 or Apple’s expected iSlate tablet announcement expected in late January might upstage some of the announcements we’ll see at CES this year.

Here’s what I am looking to see from CES:
the newest improvements in mobile technology– read cell phones. I really want to see Palm come up with something that gives people pause and puts them strongly back into the game. Let’s see if they can do it.

The readers– Kindle, Nook & Sony Reader (which I have one and have to talk about to you) –were the hot for holiday but look for vast improvements like smaller devices, color, and free libraries. While Sony has 3 sizes including a “touch” edition, there is a lot of growth in this segment.
Netbooks are definitely on my radar as the next big thing– because I want something lightweight and extremely portable. While I want the scoop on the netbooks themselves, I also want to learn about protective accessories for your tech & gadgets . Protective cases are essential particularly because the devices cost enough and keeping the information and the device safe is crucial. While cases for cell phones don’t last at all. (I had 3 for a single iPhone and my current one for my HTC Fuse is falling apart), The Though I just bought an ACER Aspire D250 and got this cool new Hard Candy Bubble Case to provide protection for it.(thank you!) netbook case looks good, easy to pop on and will hold up in my running around town. Mine is blue over a pink netbook = purple prettiness and totally tech savvy too.

Hard Candy Bubble Case!
Because I do my fair share of podcasts, new software and hardware as well as video editing software that will make my job faster, easier and better quality.Bigger, better video, sound and memory cards are welcome in my world. Got the HD video camera– just need the rest of the tools.
Home Theaters are still big and since LCD/LED tvs were hot tickets for holiday, I want to know about the next generation in what’s coming.
Other companies on radar include Sony, Microsoft, Google, Apple and anyone who can come up with a faster, better computer that hasn’t been filled up with software that I have to remove to make it work.
One more thing to be on the look-out for will be any tools/software for anti-virus and computer protection.
