Swarovski Fashion Week: Peter Som Shows a Different Fall Sensibility!

With the general theme of NYFW Fall 2010 seeming so dark and buried in dark neutrals, veteran fashion designer Peter Som steps outside that box and creates a collection that has vibrant life. It's amazing what a little color can do to create a lively presentation, a fun party atmosphere that is uplifting when you see the colors Som has employed in his collection.

Featuring both streamlined silhouettes yet also boho-chic styles, this collection presents something for everyone and definitely in an array of colors that is a welcome surprise to see yellow, violet, reds, blues, greens and more in matte and metallic fabrics.

Som talked about his love of color and mixing texture, prints, and color influencing the shape of the designs. The outfits, dresses and suits are infinitely wearable and would work for years to come providing that it's style correctly. However no matter what your personal style there is at least 2-3 pieces for every fashionista out there– me included.
I am incredibly impressed with Som's inspiration and imagination. There was no other show that showed this diverse a collection with this much imagination.
