Entertainment’s hilarious stand-up comedy series, “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up” returns for a fifth season with back-to-back episodes on Friday, September 10 at 11 pm et/pt. Taped before a live audience at The Chicago Theatre, the new season of Starz’ longest running original series features a new host, comedian Sheryl Underwood, and a fresh line-up of rising and seasoned comedy stars.
Comedians scheduled to appear on 12 half-hour episodes include Deon Cole, who will also guest host two episodes, Sandra Bernhard, Jimmie “J.J.” Walker, Roz G, D’Militant, Scruncho, Darren Carter, Pierre, Jay Phillips, Melanie Comarcho, Ian Edwards, Chocolate, Damon Williams, among others. Previous host, Doug Williams, continues to serve as an executive producer.
This blog features a podcast with the wonderful Sandra Bernhard and this was before her episode ran and right after the Women’s Conference — so it was definitely an estrogen overload. I did have to edit a teeny tiny bit. If you listen, you will notice where. That’s ok– I love Sandra Bernhard. She’s amazing. She’s smart, sharp, witty, funny and most important, in touch with reality.
