So. Calif Peeps: Meet Project Runway’s Tim Gunn @ OC’s Fashion Island for Fashion Show + More!!

Last week I had a chance to talk to Tim Gunn about his personal appearance at Fashion Island as he hosts a Spring 2011 fashion show featuring the lastest from Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand Jeans and Kate Spade in the perfect Fashion Island location: the Bloomingdales & Neiman Marcus courtyard on Saturday 4/16 at 1 PM!!!

The style expert will be on hand to share his expertise and speak to guests about the importance of style, proportion and fit while showing how the pieces on the runway are perfect additions to their already existing wardrobes.
As the Chief Creative Officer for Liz Claiborne, Gunn will give you tips and ideas on how to wear the spring fashions as well as the “no-no’s’ . As we talked he said that he’s likely to pull a style aside and say “for those under 5’3″ and under, this particular print or silhouette won’t work. You can’t make it work for your frame.” (How about that!! Isn’t that awesome? Tim Gunn wants you to look fabulous!) For guys, he’s all about tucking in the shirt and getting them to look a bit more polished. For women, it’s about proportion and celebrating curves and the body they have. According to Gunn, there is no perfect outfit for all of So. California. He stated that a person should dress according to their body type and their lifestyle. When we talked about summer styles, he suggested when wearing summer dresses, using a a belt to create body shape is a key element.
