Hugh Grant (yes the actor) had a broken down car and happened to be helped out of a jam by a Murcdoch employee, Paul McMullen. In the course of the repair of the car, they had a discussion about how Grant’s phone had been hacked and other similar things. Grant obviously not happy with that information did turn about as fair play and set up McMullen with a recording pen and got him to admit all the dirty tactics MURDOCH employees use to get the inside details right down to bribing police, politicians and hacking private phones without warrant or court order.
While Hugh Grant might owe McMullen a few quid for a couple of pints, I do believe that this has blown more of the lid off of Rupert Murdoch’s nasty tactics and it’s not isolated to England.. but has infiltrated to the US. Don’t think for a minute that FOX News and the Tribune media is immune from this situation . Murdoch’s reach and word of “law” (I use that word loosely) make the US divisons of his empire part and parcel in in the same things as has happened in the UK.
