What Day Is It? Where Am I? Lost in the Jet Lag Haze Between Heaven and Earth on a Lake

Next time, either I am taking a nap before I hop a red-eye flight or I will fly out at 6 or 7 AM but never what I did this time. YIKES!! I woke up in “Stevie’s” bedroom (thank you D for that) and did not know where I was, whether it was 4:30 AM EDT, PDT or had I slept all day. All I knew is that I needed to hit the hot tub for a muscle relaxing soak and given that it was still dark outside, I had no hesitation.

Wednesday was a blast.. really fun. We did lots of great things- -mostly on the boat. I was still jet-lagged: caught in the jetstream somewhere hanging over the blistering heat in the stratosphere. Luckily I wasn’t driving but D & I had some errands to run which had me busy in the AM and moving in a zig-zag direction in my brain. However she packs a mean cooler full of food and we eventually made it down to the lake and off we went with a new boat!!

This boat is a city boat that is a tourist attraction that makes a loop of this finger lake. I had to take 6 shots to get this one.

For those seeking more vacation type photos– here you go. Tomorrow will be a bit of an interesting post on the Friday boating session.

Kayaks for rent on the country club lawn– way too much fun!

Spinnaker flying as the wind picks up on the lake.

This boat got better and better as they gained control of the spinnaker.

It was a great day– sunny, bright, hot hot hot, and definitely we drank wine and ate m&m’s and fun chips I picked up somewhere.

Here’s the swimsuit I was wearing.. (though that’s not me.) Thanks to Voda Swim, I had one killer suit and it’s a new style for summer 2011.

This is the Hoop & String bikini in “Beach Envy” and works well with other tops or bottoms I have to mix and match. This is one great suit and you can loosen up the ties if you want as well.

I have been busy with the camera taking photos of stuff around the house– the flowers, bugs, and cats–as in some great cats but only ONE would pose for me.
Go figure.

I did call a lot of people on the west coast.. I haven’t been to sleep before 12 any night– but have been taking naps. The NOOK (Barnes & Noble Color version) is a handy device to take on boats and in the car.

PLUS there are photos of the sidewalk sale and I scored on that one!! Wow.

The “300” sale was a serious winner and everyone gets there for the clothing, jewelry and SHOES!! This year almost all the boots were $100– of which I found 2 I wanted but didn’t buy. ( Trust me when I tell you I have a great boot collection. I just need to pull them out & wear them). From flats to sandals, pumps to boots, the sizes were selling out fast. One shoe I really wanted, didn’t come in my size but D was checking out a cutey-pie platform with a flower on the ankle wrap and I tried them on. I could not resist– though I was sure they weren’t me. Shock & awe!! These babies made me look like I had legs a mile long– and the platforms were comfortable and the heels not so high. Sold at $40!!!

This sale is a hot ticket in the area and it fills up fast with locals and tourists. Even the fur store was giving discounts on fur coats despite the 100 degree weather.

Catch up with more photos and stuff on this trip– we did do some shopping. We did a LOT of time on the boat too!
