Secrets of the Red Carpet: Paleta Helps Celebs (and YOU) Eat Healthy & Lose Weight!

You have heard me talk about Paleta before on this blog. I went to a luncheon this summer with an assortment of dieticians, writers, editors, bloggers, fitness pros etc to find out just how great this food is. Here’s the link in case you missed that post.

Paleta isn’t just a catering service– it’s a healthy, organic, tasty, amazing way to eat. This “service will not deprive you but have you losing weight, getting balanced nutrition and trying food you never thought you would try. This is one great food delivery service that delivers both in product and tasty revelations that had me amazed, surprised and astounded.. as I test drove these meals (ok.. not all meals) with my partner.

Created by Chef Kelly Boyer and her team of culinary wizards, Paleta is something beyond other food programs that can be delivered. Don’t even think about the other weight loss programs or healthy eating programs until you try this Paleta!!
The beauty of this great catering concept is that you can order food for any event but also order food to be delivered to you as meals on a daily basis- for as many or few meals as you wish. It’s easy, fast, fun and most importantly–tastes FABULOUS.

I tried 5 days of Paleta food and found it all good to great and some was absolutely fantastic. Realize I don’t eat this much food in a day– but I was eating braised kale cold right of the frig. (I had never eaten kale). There are 3 filling meals a day plus an AM & PM snacks that could double as desserts. I asked them to challenge me and give me things I normally didn’t eat. The food is delivered in very well chilled packs with the brown and orange logo on the front and away I went!
It was interesting to see that with the Paleta food, I wasn’t remotely interested in hitting the ice cream or other food I had the in the frig unless it was fruit or those heirloom tomatoes.

The first day’s meal (Wed>) was the following (and it was sooooooooo good)
Breakfast
Dilled Turkey Backon & Broccoli Quiche, Fresh Grapefruit

Lunch:
Seared Asian Steak & Mandarin Orange salad with arugula.

Grilled Chicken with Cherry Chipltle BBQ sauce (SO GREAT)
Roasted Corn with Manchego & Lime
Green Beans

Lemon Ricotta Raspberry Pancakes with Fresh Raspberries and maple syrup (to die for!)
Turkey Sausage Links.

AM Snack: Fruit Salad with Poppyseed dressing. (FRESH fruit!!)

Lunch
Herbed Turkey Burger, Blanched Asparagus (another finger food for me), Brown Rice with Basil .

Snack PM Mini-Bagel Sandwich with Dilled Tuna Salad, Baby Spinach, Grape Tomatoes (This could have been a lunch!)

Indian Spiced Salmon, Roasted Curried Cauliflower with Indian BBQ Sauce, Herbed Brown Rice with Almonds. (Amazingly tasty!)

Snack-AM:
Dried Fruits & Nuts

(I had never eaten kale before till Paleta. I snacked on it till it was gone. who needed dinner? I had kale! But as a word here. The partner got ZERO of this meal. I loved the waffle and chicken combo. This wasn’t like Roscoe’s Fried Chicken but it had the same sensory smell of the spiced chicken and it was tasty and crunch. The waffle.. YUM)

Saturday
Breakfast
Scrambled whole eggs with mushrooms, gruyere with hot sauce. Chicken Sausage Links. Fresh Grapes
amazingly tasty.

Snack -AM Fresh watermelon and cucumber salad with lemon drizzle. Cashews.
(This was killer)

Lunch
Apricot Glazed Char-Grilled Turkey Tenders with apricot & cilantro salsa; Maple Scented Carrot Chips (YUMMY) and Broccoli with fresh herbes.

Snack PM Citrus Quinoa Salad with baby spinach and citronette (dressing)

Dinner
Herb-rubbed Beef Tenderloine, with wilted spinach. Sweet Potato Fries with spicy ketchup

I know I am missing a day. I lost the menu– so sue me. I can tell you that each one of these meals was packed in a bag that I tossed into the frig and eat out of during the day. Now if you have a high-powered job or need to be out on location somewhere or training for a special event, then Paleta should be in YOUR refrigerator because 1) it’s affordable & flexible 2) it tastes amazingly great 3) there’s more food in there than I could eat. (Ok so I am a small person but I had help eating this and it was AMAZING). This is free delivery, no tax, no tip. You open up your door in the AM and there is this bag of JOY– food that you don’t have to cook. Do you think I liked that? Honey, I loved that!!
I am domestic. I can cook. I can even do a great job. But why would I do what Kelly does when she does it faster and with less effort than I would require– and it turns out better.
