So it’s Black Friday and if you are out there supporting our economy by shopping! Now that’s a great idea. But eventually you have to go home and I think you might want to soothe the chaotic mind and the sore feet with a great cocktail or two. For the Twi-hards, this might be a good reminder of the honeymoon segment. If you didn’t see it, just think Rio since it’s steamy there right now and enjoy these two fabulous “sips”
Fig Caipirinha at Spare Room – LA
1 1/2 oz Leblon Cachaça
1/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 Fig
Ginger Ale
Muddle Fig with Simple Syrup and shake all ingredients over ice, top with Ginger Ale and served on the rocks.
Brazilian Cider served Hot or Cold
1 1/2 oz Leblon Cachaça
1 1/2 oz apple cider
1 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice, and shake vigorously.
Pour contents in a rocks glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick. Can be served warm, but don’t microwave it too long because the alcohol will heat fast!
