Light Up the Holidays with Glowing, Bright Skin!! Skincare that Goes the Distance #3
When it comes to brightening skincare, I might have tried everything that’s out there. I have run across several lines of great skincare products that will give you the glowing luminous look that you are seeking. Here’s the first of several skincare lines that you will be seeing over the next few days! After all you want to look amazing over the holidays with luminous skin right? Time to get started is now!
This is # 3 in a series on different skincare regimens I have been able to try. Some are complete skincare regimens; others are partial. Today’s regimen is a partial because it’s only one product — but wow! what a difference it made in my skin! Got to love that!
Lumixyl is a 4 product system that can make a big difference in your skin– particularly if you have hyperpigmentation issues regardless of age but more importantly due to sun exposure. Sold only through physicians and physician based e-commerce stores, this is a regimen that you might really want to try.
Lumixyl™ is a non-toxic, non-irritating, synthetic peptide technology that is clinically shown to significantly improve the appearance of unwanted discoloration, age spots, sun spots and uneven skin tone.
Developed by dermatological researchers at Stanford University, Lumixyl’s ground-breaking Decapeptide-12 is the only peptide shown to measurably aid the skin in restraining tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for initiating the overproduction of melanin, that can cause uneven pigmentation and dark spots.
Studies show that Decapeptide-12 helps inhibit the production of melanin more efficaciously than hydroquinone – reducing melanin synthesis by as much as 40 percent compared to treatments with hydroquinone, which reduced production by only 7 percent in the same study. These results are one reason Lumixyl is considered by many to be the first real alternative to Hydroquinone.
Stanford University to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation, including:
•Uneven skin tone
This regimen is based on
1) Active-Prep Gentle Foaming Cleanser— gentle cleanser that prepares your skin for the peptide and for the glycolic acid topical treatment.
2) Topical Brightening Cream ( Lumixyl peptide) Key Product
Discovered by researchers at the prestigious Stanford University, Lumixyl Topical Brightening Creme features the Lumixyl peptide – decapeptide-12 – comprised of naturally occurring amino acids that target discoloration and dark spots on the surface of the skin. It works to help regulate overproduction of melanin by inhibiting the tyrosinase enzyme used to create melanin by the melanocytes in your skin
3) GlycoPeel 20 (glycolic acid for night time use)– Key product;
Formulated specifically for use with the Lumixyl peptide, Glycopeel 20 synergistically works to diminish the appearance of hyperpigmentation by exfoliating older skin cells and hyperpigmentation trapped in the surface of the skin, and stimulating celular turnover.
Accelerates natural exfoliation of dead skin cells
Helps diminish the appearance of hyperpigmentation
Improves skin texture and tone as it helps to stimulate healthy cellular turnover
Helps tighten and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores
Paraben free, medical grade formulation
4) MoistureLock SPF 30 Sunblock— Key Product
Without a sunblock to protect and moisturize your skin, this treatment won’t “stick”. You will have wasted your time — because sunblock is essential 7 days a week every single day– even when raining or overcast!
Add these 4 products up and you get some serious results without dryness, peeling, or irritation. Sounds too good to be true– right? This kit retails for about $200 dollars, yet is as effective as products that are hundreds of dollars more– however it might take a little longer than some of the MD treatments that you could try out like lasers and peels.
In addition to its efficacy, Lumixyl™ is the only skin brightener to offer all of the following benefits in a single product:
•Non-irritating or allergenic
•Safe for all skin types
•Safe for prolonged use
•Easily degraded by the skin
•Will not increase skin’s sensitivity to the sun
•Stabilized so that it will not lose potency or turn brown after opening
•A luxurious, moisture-rich texture
I tried this collection and saw reduction in the pigmentation that I had picked up during the summer. While it works– and it does take patience– one of the key products is the GlycolPeel 20.. and you should apply that in a thin layer to not aggravate your skin. You might try applying a bit more on the pigmented areas.
Also the use of sunblock is absolutely essential. Despite using 2-3 sunblocks per day– layered on — during my vacation, I still picked up pigmentation. So the results you see will be good to very good if you use all these products religiously (that means do not ladle it on) but you also use enough sunblock on your face which means at least one tablespoon for your entire face and allow it to sink into the skin before putting on makeup.
I liked this collection a lot. It was easy to go from one product to another and just keep building up the treatment.
