Why Are Adam Lambert’s Fans So “Fanatical” & a Taste of “Trespassing!

Adam Lambert fans are fanatical. They will camp out; dress up; stay out all night to catch a glimpse of Adam; spend serious $$ to go see him in multiple shows.

I was able to attend a few shows of Adam Lambert’s Glamnation Tour: the first at Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa and the last at the Fonda Music Box in Hollywood, CA..

What I learned in the process of reading “On the Meaning of Adam Lambert“; attending shows; buying; listening to and reviewing CDs; viewing all the assorted videos online; and talking to fans both online and in person is that Adam Lambert appeals to age groups from 6 to 70 years old, both genders and sexuality (a topic tied to Lambert) which Adam himself has statedthat everyone is welcome to his party. For those who have felt disenfranchised by their own sexuality, age or gender, Adam has helped create a sense of positive self-awareness and spurred many to move forward with their lives.

At the time that I was at the Pacific Amphitheater (and the post hyperlinked above), I was merely delivering books to someone who had been to the San Francisco and Sacramento shows and was down in the OC for the Costa Mesa shows for Juneau and Xena, authors of the book, On the Meaning of Adam Lambert to deliver books to the musicians and dancers of the Glamnation Tour and hopefully get one into Adam’s hands.

What it turned to be for me was akin to his song, “Down the Rabbit Hole”– a trip that was more than Alice in Wonderland experienced and a bonding with so many people that had come from as far away as Australia and other US states. However the people that I particularly met were from San Francisco and were very nice. I managed to snag a particularly fervent fan of Adam’s to talk to me on video in the quietest place we could find — my car). “Maitri” is a woman who has very strong opinions and feelings about the Adam Lambert effect.. and what he has done for so many people.

One thing that “Maitri” wanted me to express is that she has created/compiled a very special spiritual gift for Adam Lambert and hopefully she will one day be able to give it to him in thanks for the path that he has carved for many people.

In light of Adam’s new CD, Trespassing”, here’s a video that features snippets of several songs from his album and gives you the ability to see and hear bits of the growth, artistic, personal and spiritual evolution of this hugely popular musician.

I have been in contact consistently with Juneau and Xena and others who are fans of Adam Lambert. I have participated in the “Salon” hosted by Juneau and Xena several times to talk about Adam Lambert and other people related to him via his music. It’s been an interesting journey.

I would like to thank Juneau and Xena for calling me that day to ask me to deliver books and also to Eric M and “Maitri” for her time and willingness to go on record for this. I have also “drunk the koolaid” and am a fan. I just ordered the special $20 Trespassing package. (sue me, I want to see how the process is changing Lambert and how Adam is changing the process)

Take a minute and to rewind and repeat and watch “Maitri” again to get the depth of what she’s saying!

  1. Actually it’s anything but an informercial for the book. It happens to be because someone in PR pitched me the book– that I actually READ it.. (as I said in the video, it took me 3 months). I had talked to the authors for a podcast. Interestingly enough, while I had a vague understanding/awareness of Adam Lambert, I have never watched American Idol for longer than about 5 minutes. I don’t do “reality” tv as such. However, the opportunity to talk to people who are huge fans was an interview opp that I could not pass up. If someone had seen 5 shows before they showed up in Costa Mesa and would continue going for at least 4 more shows.. I wanted to talk to that person. What it’s about is how Adam Lambert has changed a lot of lives, perspectives and how people see and value themselves. It’s OK to be who you are. You don’t have to compromise who you are.
