Over the years, the beauty vlogger community has grown into one of the most popular and fun channels on YouTube and across the web. NYX Cosmetics created the Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites (FACE) Awards to give back to the online beauty community and reward the best of the beauty vloggers for their passion and creativity.
The FACE Awards kicked off on March 6 with an open call for entries, naming the initial 30 contestants who then went through numerous challenges – which were voted on by the public.
The result was the final six who were flown to Los Angeles. On Sunday, June 24th, the six finalists competed in a live runway competition and presented their final runway looks.
A panel of five top industry influencers:
Toni Ko (Founder and Creative Chief Officer of NYX Cosmetics),
Scott Barnes (Celebrity Makeup Artist),
Nils Johnson (CEO and Co-Founder of Beautylish),
Michael Cain (Director of Education Macadamia Natural Oil), and
Tim Lusher (General Manager of Westin Hotels)
judged the final runway event and named CharismaStar the Beauty Vlogger of the Year.
The contestants were evaluated on categories such as presentation, artistry, composition, technique, and innovation.
The five runners-up:
Beautyliciousinsider (Chelsea Crockett),
Goldie Starling (Angela Davis),
iWanted2C1Video (Bethany Alviles),
ProMUAnetwork (Lisa Her), and
Sabs Beauty (Sabrina Novenschi) received a year’s worth of NYX Cosmetics.
