Do you know what the hot drinks will be in 2013? Tricia Alley, Southern California Director of Mixology for Southern Wine and Spirits, is famous for her cocktail creations in Los Angeles and has worked side-by-side with the industry’s top mixologists & restaurateurs.

· Bars will focus on fresh ingredients, quality spirits and proper techniques for mixing your cocktail
· Simple palates will reign as you’ll see more fresh juices and syrups
· Seasonality is key as consumers like to drink what’s new and in season. Tricia can share cocktail trends for the winter and spring
Alley teams up with VeeV Açaí Spirit, the world’s first açaí spirit and leader in superfruit cocktails, to develop such delicious, unique cocktails served at LA’s hottest spots like the Bungalow, Sunset Marquis, Nobu and the London Hotel.
2 oz VeeV Açaí Spirit
2 cucumber slices
Small pinch of cilantro
.75 oz fresh squeezed lime (or 4 lime wedges)
.5 oz agave syrup
Muddle, shake and pour into an old fashioned glass. Garnish with a cucumber wheel and a dash of sea salt on the surface of the cocktail.
1.5 oz VeeV Açaí Spirit
1 oz Funkin lychee puree
.75 oz fresh squeezed lemon
.5 oz organic simple syrup
1 oz club soda
Shake without soda, then add soda and strain over fresh ice into collins glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel & mint sprig.
