The Men Have It: Daniel Day Lewis and Other Sport Real Style

What about the men who walked the red carpet? I find it fascinating to see so many well-dressed men when typically they go “blah” on these kinds of occasions.
Here’s who did a great job:

Dominico Vacca created a custom, navy blue tuxedo, single breasted which featured a shawl collar in grosgrain (the classic Italian sartorial tradition). The tuxedo shirt was a simple design and featured Domenico Vacca’s signature high collar and was made in a basket-weave cotton. Pants were high-waisted, narrow leg and without belt loops as Day-Lewis opted not to wear a cummerbund. Daniel Day-Lewis’ initials were also hand sewn inside the jacket–truly personalizing the custom-made tux.

Domenico Vacca is on a mission to bring back exceptional luxury and quality to fashion. Born in Italy, in Andria, Vacca‘s family was for decades deeply rooted in the craft of fashion. In 2002, Vacca launched his own label to spread the latest sartorial trends in fashion with a lifestyle clothing and accessories collection for men and women. By combining the best of Italian craftsmanship, superb fabrics, and an impeccable fit with a contemporary Italian cut, the Domenico Vacca label is often referred to as the Ferrari of clothing.

From PRADA:

Christoph Waltz, Winner of Best Supporting Actor for “Django Unchained,” selected a PRADA navy two button shawl collar tuxedo, white smoking popeline shirt, black satin bowtie and black patent leather lace up shoes.

David O. Russell, nominated for Best Director for “Silver Linings Playbook,” chose a PRADA black three piece kid mohair tuxedo, white stretch popeline shirt, black silk and velvet tie and black lace up shoes.

Daniel Radcliffe, selected a PRADA black tela mohair two button suit with a satin piped lapel, white stretch popeline shirt, black silk bow tie, and black vernice lace-up shoes.

Lots of the men attended looking better than they have in a good while. I think that men suddenly woke up and smelled the fashion coffee.
