DSW recently had a big fashion event for a slew of celebrities and media types. The number of people at Sony Studios shopping for shoes was phenomenal and DSW pulled out all the stops and brought their Luxe 810 collection of high-end designer shoes.

DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse is breaking the barrier in discount shoes because most places aren’t giving terrific name brand choices- at least not nation-wide. Here in So. CA we have Loehman’s which often have great shoes in various broken sizes. When you walked away with a pair of shoes or even a cashmere sweater in your size in your favorite color, that was a real treasure hunt.

DSW takes it farther than that and makes the treasure hunt more like a candy story of what don’t you want to buy? Do realize that merchandise moves fast and it might not be hard to stack up 4 boxes of shoes and have to task yourself of cutting your purchase down. (However don’t forget about their rewards membership. Earn for purchases!!)

Here’s a conversation I had with Kelly Cook, Senior Vice President for DSW shoes! I didn’t think I could find someone else who would rave about shoes the way I do– but we do and it’s fun. As long as you are forewarned that we cover lots of trends, all the aspects about how great DSW is and why you should be shopping there — in store or online (where they have MORE shoes!!)

Now the fall collection just launched a couple of days ago and the commercials are on tv and in various print magazines as well. So I suggest you start shopping soon to get your favorites like these shoes shown below.

Here’s what I got.
I wound up with a great box of shoes and a fabulous goody bag — that was really NOT a bag at all.
A pair of sky-high uber-fun ORANGE wedge sandals along with lots of goodies in a separate box.

The swag- which included a great stack of gold bangles, a small leather wristlet, a Julie Hewett lipstick in my fave color (REALLY!) along with other nifty little goodies. Fun didn’t begin to explain how great this was. Only pictures could do the best job.

Hopefully you will see a photo of me wearing the shoes. I have started scoping out the DSW online selection and it’s quite intoxicating!! DO NOT FORGET THE CLEARANCE section. It’s awesome!!
