While you might wonder why would someone do something that sounds like a timeshare. Guess what, it’s NOT a timeshare. You are the OWNER of the particular property (casita or villa) that you purchase. You have the ability to rent it out when you are not “in residence” (a max of 2 or 3 months, depending on what type of unit you purchase). Your rent helps defray the mortgage and any fees that are tied to renting it out.

However you do get some serious bonuses that allow you to stay at one of the hotels/resorts that are part of the Terranea family and get price breaks to continue traveling. 2 or three months a year allows you to stay there at almost a drop of a hat- and get the beach home feel with all the benefits of staying at a resort and without ANY OF THE COSTS ( for a period of time!)

This last time, I got a tour of the real estate options and got to explore all the different home situations and locations-what’s not to love with always seeing the ocean, the sun and having a 180 degree view of the coast– sunrise to sunset.
