Red Bull Curates: The Canvas Cooler Project Los Angeles. 3/6 Open to Public, 21+ #ArtintheCity

A hot art event TONIGHT in SILVERLAKE area of LA should be on your hit list (then you can go out to eat in the same area too)

WHAT:
Red Bull Curates: The Canvas Cooler Project Los Angeles is pairing 20 handpicked Los Angeles-based artists with venue owners from some of the city¹s hottest local bars, lounges and restaurants as it kicks off the third year of its national tour. Selected artists will be given a one-day challenge to transform a blank, canvas-wrapped Red Bull Cooler into an inspired work of art customized for permanent display at each venue.

The art created will be exhibited in a one-night only public showcase on Thursday, March 6 at Mack Sennett Studios in Silver Lake. Attending guests and a panel of curatorial judges will vote on each piece, ultimately selecting two artists to show and sell their work at SCOPE Art Fair in Miami during Art Basel week in December.

In addition to the two Los Angeles artists selected by the luminary panel of judges the night of the showcase, two additional artists will be entered into the People¹s Choice Award pool, which gives one more artist the opportunity to join the group show at SCOPE Art Fair. The two artists will be chosen based upon the number of social media mentions using their custom hashtag on Twitter the night of the event, and the People¹s Choice Award winner will be announced in November.

The Los Angeles exhibition is the first of this national art tour of eight cities, six of which are new stops this year as Red Bull Curates aims to expand its reach in providing emerging artists from all over the country a chance to show on an international stage. By combining social media, local industry and a no-boundaries stance on art style, this forward-thinking art tour has set a new tone for taking local artists communities and placing them on a global platform.
