Since the list of brews for St. Patrick’s Day was really all about the “green” and the Irish, I noticed that the same brands repeating or brands I never have seem. I contacted Ranker.com and asked what can I feature here. They were very happy to make some recommendations. Irish Soda Bread is the epitome of basic breads because it requires NO yeast or rising time. Because of these two elements and that the ingredients are super simple- available at any market and still get you into the fast check-out line- this is the recipe I chose for St. Patrick’s Day.

Serves: 10-12 large slices

4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1½ cups whole milk
¼ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
