Two extremely talented stylists, Holly Dear and Kaycee Clark started the Dear Clark, hair care line because they wanted a range of super effective, natural based, locally sourced hair care products that would bring stressed hair back to life! Since they opened their salon in 2008 they dreamed of having their own hair care line. The range comes from Texas, where they found local ingredients that would meld with a signature scent and powerful essential oils to make a great hair care line from deep in the heart of Texas.

A trinity of natural, active ingredients combine to produce a unique complex that resurrects, revives and protects hair. These ingredients are: Rose of Jericho, Aloe Vera and Sunflower Seed Oil.

The Rose of Jericho is known as the Resurrection Flower, as this ancient plant has incredible powers of rejuvenation. It survives in the heart of the Texas heat and regenerates instantly when water is present. The Rose of Jericho has anti-aging properties and hydrates the hair to keep it supple and strong!
Aloe Vera, grown in Texas, is known to have 75 nutrients and 200 active compounds. It soothes the skin and hair and infuses moisture into it, protecting hair color and reviving its condition to keep the hair soft, smooth and healthy.
Sunflower Seed Oil comes from Texas sunflowers and is high in lipids and Essential Fatty Acids. The oil seals the hair cuticle and conditions hair, leaving it silky and easy to comb. It also functions as a thermal protector to protect hair from heat, humidity and any type of styling that damages hair.

Many essential oils are also present in the resurrection formula. The Dear Clark line has a wonderful fragrance that lends itself to a great shampooing experience. The essential oils are carefully blended specifically for Dear Clark, as a remedy for the urban life and as a resurrection for the soul, making hair care a nice ritual to enjoy. The following oils make up the resurrection fragrance: patchouli, tangerine, lavender, mandarin, clove bud, clary sage, geranium, bergamot, neroli and jasmine.

Resurrecting Wash $22.00 8.5 fl.oz.
The first ingredient of the Resurrecting Wash is Aloe Vera. Because of that, this shampoo is like no other shampoo you will ever use. Combine that with the Rose of Jericho and the Sunflower Seed Oil and you have an incredibly decadent shampoo that leaves hair extremely soft, hydrated and not stressed out any more! The Resurrecting Wash also has a complex of with naturally derived keratin proteins, Betaine from coconut, Panthenol Vitamin B5, Honey and UV Filters that makes Dear Clark, Resurrecting Wash ideal for all hair types. This product is sulphate free for color treated hair and phosphate free keratin treated hair. UV Filters protect from sun damage and color fade. It was handcrafted in Texas with artisanal ingredients. The best way to use the Resurrecting Wash is: apply a dollop to wet hair, add lots of water to massage gently into a rich lather and breathe in deep and slow. Rinse and repeat and follow with Dear Clark Resurrecting Rinse. This product is also cruelty free!

What do I like about Resurrecting Wash?
I love the fragrance, which is truly decadent. And I love how it makes my hair feel. It makes my hair incredibly soft and manageable. After using the shampoo and conditioner I barely had to use any styling products as my hair was doing so much better without them, which is a big difference. For me this is good. Usually I have frizzy hair that has to be molded down after blow drying it but this time around I could forgo the molding cream, which I find to be very heavy anyway. LOVE this product!

Resurrecting Rinse $22.00 8.5 fl.oz.

The Resurrecting Rinse (it has that great fragrance too) is also a great product that I feel I is amazing. Also having Aloe Vera as the first ingredient, this conditioner is excellent for overworked, stressed out hair. Rose of Jericho and Sunflower Seed Oil help hydrate, revive, regenerate and protect hair all while leaving it super soft and supple. Plant proteins improve hair’s strength, Jojoba Oil makes hair supple and improves elasticity without weighing it down. Vitamins A, C, E and B5 condition and protect from environmental damage. There is no frizz to be heard of after using this super lightweight conditioner. It is effective for color-treated hair an great for keratin-treated hair.

Even though it is a very lightweight conditioner, Resurrecting Rinse works wonders on hair. Used in conjunction with Resurrecting Wash, these two products leave dry damaged hair behind and usher in a new era of soft, manageable, strong, frizzy-free hair that needs less products to be beautiful.
Dear Clark, has a few styling products that you would benefit from using should you need them but my hair really came out quite nice with fewer styling products needed. They offer a Thickening Balm ($24.00), Smoothing Elixir ($24.00) and a Finishing Salve ($24.00). I am so happy with this line that I cannot wait to try the styling products–especially the Finishing Salve which is for frizzy hair (the bane of my existence). If you try the Dear Clark line, you will like it as much as I do, I guarantee it!

If you happen to be in Dallas, then go to their salon:
3317 McKinney Ave / Suite 101 / Dallas, TX 75204.

Other products in this line include 3 styling products:
Thickening Balm
Smoothing Elixir
Finishing Salve

  1. Since my hair is long I need to assure that it stays healthy. I like pure products and this sounds like a real winner.
