Love Me Some #Chocolate.. Especially #DarkChocolate #Treats & #Cocktails #spons #Foodie.com

It’s almost Valentine’s Day. Many people would love to have some great chocolate for V-day. The problem is cost of the chocolate and then the cost of the shipping.
I adore Recchuiti Chocolate . This San Francisco-based chocolate brand that blows most others away. You can find it in real life at the Ferry Building but if you are out of the area, the shipping is at least $40 to ship via FedEx next day because they are stringent about the chocolate not degrading in transit. Yes, it is that special!

Heidi Ash from 185 Chocolat does incredible things with chocolate. It comes from the Minnesota so things will be cold but getting to you might take a bit.

Why am I talking about chocolate brands that you can’t typically get? Because I am presenting you with alternatives to these high end chocolates via recipes that I have curated and collected via Foodie.com. This is a sponsored post. This is something that I get paid to curate. Most people are glad to see my curations because of my interests in certain flavors or presentations like chocolate or cocktails.

Guess what boys and girls, you are in luck this month! You get both chocolate and cocktails in the same curation. It’s not just cocktails, it’s everything that I could find that sounded interesting, fun and tempting. And you can make any and/or all of them with these recipes. Some things are very simple and might have only four ingredients and can be whipped together in a flash. Others take a bit more time. Not everything is sweet; I found some savory recipes that I think are pretty special like Mexican Mole that requires chocolate for a smooth recipe. The Mole is not the only savory treat. Check out the pancakes and other interesting things. There are 41 recipes in this collection. I have tried to present a great range of easy and fast to something that requires patience and time to make … but oh so worth it!

What chocolate you should use for making these things? I would suggest you try to buy the most expensive chocolate you can afford. Cocoa butter and the quality of chocolate are essential for an amazing treat. This past year I have been trying Guittard chocolate for baking and treats. It’s certainly quite special and it does have some artisanal regional varieties. You might want to try to find it at Whole Foods or online.

I love it when I get to do something with Foodie.com. It’s a fun way for me to show off things I like, and test out some new recipes. Also it helps me push the limit on various recipes to see what I can (and cannot) do with them. This is a sponsored post. While I work in partnership with Mode.com, all recipes are my choice and my choice alone!

Hope you like something here. If you make something, either tweet me at Twitter.com/lastory or post a message here on the blog or on Foodie.com

ENJOY!!

  1. YUM! I want all of it. I’m going to explore these links in further detail and decide what to order when I’m in the U.S this summer!

  2. Hey Lisa
thanks for commenting. I know that the links in the slideshow are for recipes if you want to rough it and DIY it.
However the other two brands 185 Chocolat and Recchuiti Chocolates are incredibly delish! I will also have another post about
chocolates to be purchased. But a quick fix to have in your frig.. check out Robert Lambert Brand chocolate sauces.. Absolutely incredible!

  3. The recipes look fab. We’re all chocolate crazy in my house! The cherry almond clusters sound particularly delicious. xx

  4. That Cherry Almond Cluster recipe was the last thing I grabbed yesterday for the curation. The actual collection on Foodie.com that I put together has 41 recipes of cocktails, treats and a couple of savory dishes as well.
    Worth a look-see!
