Cooking It Up For Dad! Take Father’s Day Dinner Up a Notch with Urban Accents Brinning Kits!

Have you thought about what you are doing for dinner tomorrow? I wouldn’t care either.. but tomorrow is Father’s Day! Much as you want him to grill or go out, he might have other ideas! The restaurants might be really busy (on a Sunday that’s pretty unheard of as well).

I do have a suggestion for dinner that will require a little effort. Two ways to go with products from Urban Accents.

Disclosure: I have in the past 6-9 months been given product samples to test drive from Urban Accents. The samples help me to better evaluate the products because I get to try a variety of flavors and textures of the substantial Urban Accents product line. It does not impair my ability to give you an impartial review.

Final_Spicy_Kit

The most interesting product is the Chicken Brine and Bake. It’s an interesting product that’s available in an array of flavors:
Tuscan Herb and Garlic;
Nashville Hot and Spicy;

This product is a 2 part cooking process with a reasonable amount of preparation.
Brining for 4-24 hours (this is so simple. Put your poultry in the bag with brine and water and stick it in the refrigerator.
Baking for about 60 minutes with no turning the chicken. This is easy too. Start with high heat and then turn it down and leave it alone!

In between those two major steps, you do have to season the chicken and coat it by dredging the chicken in egg and then the coating mix.
All the spices and coating mixes are in the kit. (This is where the effort goes into the prep!)
The result is a crispy and juicy chicken that everyone will remember!

There are two flavors — one spicy and the other herbal/garlic!

In case you just have time enough to brine and don’t want to mess with an interim prep, you can use the brining kit for pork and poultry.

This brining kit is flavored with pepper and herbs and will give your meat the flavor and juiciness in one step. You can still add bbq sauce if you like but this one is good to go right to the grill after you pull it from the brine.
Brining takes 4-24 hours and it really depends on how juicy you want your main course as well as the type of pork or poultry. Ribs would need less than a pork shoulder roast or whole chicken.

These kits are no-brainers! They make whipping up a meal easy. Pair it with glazes or the vegetable “roasters” , it takes mere minutes to prepare and just cook time after that. It’s so easy and turns out incredibly tasty results. I have used several of the veggie roasters and I often find I can narrow down my choices to 2 or 3 .. and then I get someone else to choose one. I love them all. I first found one of these veggie roasters when I went to visit a bestie in upstate New York and found a couple of boxes at a cooking store. I have been in love with this seasonings company for years.

Also something else to make life just a touch more fun! Check out the lemonade cocktail mixes! These are spiced up with jalapeno or strawberry to give the lemonade some zip but it’s easily converted into a margarita with the addition of some tequila! It’s dry mix so you don’t have to worry about not having it in the freezer.

Thank you to Urban Accents for the Brining Kits- the regular brining kits for pork and poultry and the Brine and Bake kits for chicken kits. These are phenomenal kits because they include the specific spice blends and step by step instructions that make cooking “oh so easy– and tasty”!
