Workin’ It with Barry’s Bootcamp Themed Classes! Rev the Metabolism!
Barry’s Bootcamp themed classes for the week started TODAY with “Squat Goals” a Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding-inspired playlist.
Wait.. WHAT? What is Barry’s Bootcamp?
Barry’s, founded in 1998, introduced a group workout regimen that combines equal length intervals of cardio (treadmill runs) and floor work (weight training, resistance exercises) in a one-hour workout that can burn mucho calories. Independent observers (like Livestrong.com) have verified that a Barry’s workout can burn 1,000 calories in an hour. Your mileage may vary, but we’ve seen clients burn from 700 to 1,300, depending on their body weight and effort level. You will be alternating between treadmill and floor work in segments that may last as little as 5 minutes each or as much as 30 minutes each, depending on the plan for that day, although 10-15 minutes per round is most common.
All of this is combined in a club-like environment with a highly motivating personal trainer guiding you, with flattering lighting and the best sound system pumping a mix of music that is guaranteed to keep you moving.

These are the themed classes for this week in LA. The schedule is released on every Monday. Sign up and try this out. It’s supposed to rev your metabolism so high and work you hard that you burn a ton of calories. Sounds like a fun class of treadmill + mixed bag of floor work.
Treat yourself to a class. You might just find you become addicted to this class! The people I know who have taken it LOVE the class!
