When Life Hands You Lemons, What’s a Girl Going to Do? Solution: Cocktails + National Lemonade Day!
It is a CRAZY summer. The weather across the US has been so unpredictable. LA has been dealing with super dry heat and winds that have fanned multiple wildfires across Southern California’s landscape for weeks. It just gets frustrating when the air quality isn’t good so you can’t hang outside despite that it’s so darn hot and dry! What’s a girl (and her friends) to do when you want to have fun? Add into that mix the notoriously fickle traffic situation in LA and it’s time to do something… like mix up a cocktail (or more) for yourself. Don’t forget to invite friends! They could use the escape! .
As the adage goes, ” when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!” This post is about more than an adage! It’s about this great cocktail recipe! This thirst-quenching drink is packed with fresh flavors and makes for the perfect combination for your cocktails this summer.
What better way to celebrate National Lemonade Day, on August 20, than with a light and refreshing take on a classic Mojito. Mix up a Patrón Mango Mint Tea Mojito cocktail to retreat from the heat and stay cool, all summer long. Great for a single cocktail, even better as a pitcher drink for you and your besties. If guys want to join the party, buy 2 bottles and a lot more lemons and tell the guys to bring a few appetizers to eat.
Mango Mint Tea
- 2 oz Patrón Citrónge Mango
- 3 oz Fresh lemonade
- 3 oz Unsweetened iced tea
- 6-8 Mint leaves
Tear mint leaves and add to a tall glass over ice.
Pour remaining ingredients, stir and serve. Garnish with lemon wheel and mint.
Don’t forget to offer up a toast– even if it’s just to you having a better time now that you have this tasty lemon cocktail!
Thanks to Patrón for this luscious recipe.
