Fashionable Cocktails: Recipes for Delish Cocktails You Can Mix Up at Home!

New York Fashion Week is almost over but I was sent these killer cocktail recipes that are amazing. So what’s a girl to do but share them with her friends, right? (And we are friends, aren’t we?)

While you might not have the ingredients on hand tonight, you do have time to hit a supermarket or specialty liquor store to buy the fixings for one (or more) or these super-tasty libations!

Citrus Strut

Citrus-Strut

Ingredients:
1.5 oz elit Vodka

1.5 oz Dolin Bianco

.75 oz Moscato d’Asti (chilled)

Branded Grapefruit Peel garnish

Method:
Fill a shaker full of ice and the first two ingredients.
Strain and pour the shaker’s contents into a martini glass (not a rocks glass)
Add in the sparkling wine as a float,
Garnish with the grapefruit peel.
Sip slowly!

Aperol Spritz

Classic-Aperol-Spritz-min

Ingredients:
3 Parts Cinzano Prosecco

2 Parts Aperol

1 Dash Soda

Ice and a slice of Orange

Method:
Pour the Prosecco, Aperol and a dash of soda into an ice-filled balloon wine glass and stir.
Garnish with an orange slice.

Pompel-Spritz

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Aperol

1.5 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice

1.5 oz. Sparkling Rosé

.5 oz. Tonic Water

Method:
Build in a highball glass over ice, top with the Sparkling Ros,
Garnish with a grapefruit peel.

This cocktails have a very clean and sparkling taste to them. Don’t hesitate to head out to your favorite lounge to ask your favorite barkeep to make one. Better yet, who knows better than you, on how to make such great cocktails?

  1. Bitter ingredients are often overlooked, but they truly make the flavor profile of the drink expand. All of these recipes appeal to my taste. The addition of fizz makes it festive too..not to mention the vibrant color of Aperol.
