October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as the color is pink, there will be a SLEW of pink things to buy and to eat during this month. You will also find some PINK COCKTAILS as well. No matter if you are seeking a sip for a TGIF (or TGIT!!) moment or you’re looking to give back raising a glass to someone special, here are a few bars that are thinking pink in the Greater LA area!

The Standing Room loves to show their generosity by giving back to small, local organizations, especially if it involves breast cancer. Owner Lowell Bakke says, “My mother had breast cancer, so we’re willing to do anything to support the breast cancer community in the South Bay.”
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they’ve created a limited-time cocktail to support those who have been affected by breast cancer, whether they’re a patient, survivor, family member, or friend.
The Pink Ribbon cocktail is made with
-Deep Eddy vodka,
-Grenadine pomegranate syrup,
-guava juice,
-lime juice.
For each drink purchase ($9), The Standing Room will donate $1 to the Cancer Support Community in Redondo Beach throughout the entire month of October. To kick of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Standing Room will also host a fundraiser on the first day of October called Give Breast Cancer the Boot, which will involve food prepared by The Standing Room chefs along with special guests performances with a suggested $5 donation at the door.

Visit these spots and enjoy a cocktail and maybe  a meal. All of them have great food as well as an amazing and creative bar.  October is your chance to give back and get pink.
