Though birthdays have long been about gift -giving to the person who actually has the birthday, a new survey reveals that Americans are open to change regarding the classic order of birthday business.

Lifestyle  expert Limor Suss  shares the results to this survey question along with additional survey results in the video that you are seeing here.  In that survey of 2,000+ people, the answer is really rather surprising until you think about it a few minutes!

According to the survey of people over the age of 21, commissioned by Chili’s Grill & Bar,

–69% of Americans said that they would appreciate it if the person celebrating their birthday was the one giving out gifts.
We’ve long seen this trend in children’s birthday parties, where gift bags with treats are given out. Now the trend is becoming popular with adults!

Presents aren’t the only thing accounting for a great day!

–62% of respondents said birthdays are best celebrated with a drink,
–The preferred birthday beverage was none other than a margarita
–62% of people agree that margaritas pair best with chips and salsa.

Chili’s is embracing the trend of giving out gifts at its birthday party. Chili’s birthday is March 13 and they’re celebrating by giving you their world famous Presidente Margarita for only $3.13. This is the first year they’re doing – and it sounds like it’s going be an annual tradition.
