DIEGO VALDEZ: THE POWER OF CONNECTION

By Elisabeth Collazos

Who is the real Diego Valdez (with over 500 thousand IG followers)? He is a man with a serious following. However, Diego is also a very kind person and passionate artist, who the public loves. Diego Valdez wants to help others achieve their dreams and believes in the goodness of humanity. I enjoyed chatting with Diego at the Doris Bergman Oscar Gifting Suite and Party and wanted to follow up with this talented artist and creative entrepreneur to find out more about the many innovative projects Diego has taken on.

Diego Valdez is originally from Colombia and resides in the San Francisco Bay area, splitting his time between Los Angeles and New York. Diego is an actor, model, artist, activist, and brand representative.

Valdez is incredibly busy but has managed to balance it all with the assistance of his professional team, Doris Bergman, Bergan Public Relations (bergmanpr.com) and Holly Davidson (iconnectyou.today). Doris Bergman is a PR Guru and Davison is a successful social media strategist.   The work he does is a collaboration with these two people.  Diego explained that he loves the peaceful vibe of San Francisco amuch as he enjoys the high energy level of LA.

Diego “knew” early on that he was destined for the arts. He started as a theatre actor in Colombia and then transitioned into television where he was a recurring character in numerous South American Soap Operas including “Retratos,” “Padres E Hijos,” “Un Angel Llamado Azul”, and “Ama La Academia,” to name a few. Additionally, Diego’s handsome good looks and exotic, physical attributes soon caught the eye of the fashion industry where he achieved tremendous success representing some of the most iconic fashion brands in Europe and Latin America – Diesel, Levi’s, Gibaud, Chevignon, Calvin Klein, and many more. Diego Valdez cited his father as his most influential source of inspiration and instilled in him the four qualities of success: discipline, consistency, patience, and perseverance.

Although Diego has had immense success as a model and actor, his true calling is for portraiture and literature. Diego simultaneously attended art school and acting classes in Cali-Colombia at the age of four and has since achieved substantial success as an artist and poet.

“When I was in Colombia, I was invited by many galleries in Cali-Colombia to present my own Art Exhibit and, at the time, I published five poetry books! My passion for the arts knows no limits,” says Valdez.

While living in the United States, Valdez worked as an artist for major corporations and designed artwork and images for “Animal Planet,” The Discovery Channel, Diageo, Tequilla Don Julio Brand, and more. Diego’s artwork has also graced multiple billboards In New York Times Square.

People are naturally attracted to Diego because of the message he delivers — the belief in humanity and being kind to others. Diego emphasized that you cannot be a “Renaissance Man” and embrace all that is beautiful and artistic without embracing humankind.

“My focus and concern, as an artist, is people. How can I help people? I believe that inspiring others is relevant. Impressing others is not. I value all human beings – everyone is equal, and there is always something to learn from everyone, regardless of income or social status,” says Valdez. “I am always there for whoever needs me – we are all human beings – religion, race, sexual orientation, rich or poor – it doesn’t matter, it makes no difference,” adds Valdez.

An integral part of Diego’s success has been the stable, support system from his professional team in Los Angeles. Diego Valdez is represented by Hollywood impresario Doris Bergman (www.bergmanpr.com) and PR STRATEGIC BRAND Communications expert, Holly Davidson Iconnectyou.today.

Diego Valdez is also a prominent member of the Hollywood Trinity since its inception. He was invited by Impresario and Publicist Doris Bergman to join the Trinity because of his vision and understanding of social media, his knowledge of the entertainment industry, and his impressive social media following. Holly Davidson completes the trio of The Hollywood Trinity. Many celebrities and mass media follow the Diego Valdez brand. 90% of Diego’s fans are women. If you are a brand follower, you will notice that the majority of brands create products designed for women, which speaks to Diego’s success as an effective influencer.

Additionally, Diego is the US Spokesperson for the hot, new App –“Ein Drink” (www.eindrink.com) – The Purple Party Poppin’ (Triple P”) App, which hails from Romania.

How does Valdez feel about Influencer status?

“Hire a real Social Media Star to push your brand up. STOP following data and weird numbers. Engagement is not about millennials, baby boomers, or Generation X. Engagement is a human factor. You connect with human beings – you interact with people, not with data. PERIOD,” says Valdez.

Most recently, Valdez and rising Hollywood sensation, actress Michelle Martin created a movement of inclusion called “No- Ego.” The No-Ego movement is about spreading a message of peace and creating an environment where everyone is welcome.

“There is a lot of hate in this world because there is limited access to opportunities, which many people find frustrating,” says Valdez. In so many instances the decision makers prevent people from pursuing their dreams and achieving their goals – simply because they have the power. Diego states, “When a person cannot achieve their goals and desires, they become unhappy and cease to dream.”

In turn, those goals and dreams are replaced by anger, resentment, and violence. The No-Ego Movement is an invitation to forget the negative aspects of the ego – prejudice, envy, jealousy – and work together to build a better world. The No-Ego Movement Poem, written by Diego Valdez, has been recited by many celebrities. The No-Ego Movement Spokesperson is Michelle Martin.

Diego Valdez has such a bright future ahead as an artist and an influential brand influencer. I’m excited to watch him shine!
