Karen Firsel was very generous and sent me a box of 3 cake jars to test drive- 2 rainbow and 1 chocolate. When served chilled they are a divine treat on warm days- particularly what we in So. California have been experiencing quite a bit lately. The rainbow one is sure to be a hit with little kids and big kids (adults) alike. The concept is perfect for a family reunion, a party or as a gift you sent across the country for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduation or for anyone who you know that loves sweet treats.
These cakes are very tender and Firsel doesn’t skimp on frosting or embellishments. The frosting is sweet and the cake is moist! I think this would make a great anniversary present, any holiday celebration or gathering. If you send an order to someone, they will rave about it to their friends because the presentation is so unique. You will be a gift-giving hero for sure!

Ethel M Chocolates!
Your mom has always given you the best. Why not give her the best this Mother’s Day? These handmade treats are crafted with care in small batches, preservative free, and made to order!
Ethel M Chocolates are well-known across the mid-west and the east coast. I have rarely gotten to try an Ethel M (I think once before I got a cute little 4 pack sampler from a celebrity event I went to about 9 years ago. I remember tucking the little box into my desk drawer so that my husband didn’t eat them all.
One of the cool things about Ethel M is that they seasonal collections in a tin. These make gorgeous gifts because the presentation is so darn pretty – but even more important, the chocolates are to die for!

Disclosure: I was sent the Seasonal Spring Collection from Ethel M. Trying the candy and seeing the packaging means I can tell you how great the collection looks — and how incredibly -(almost sinfully)- delicious these chocolates are.
This tin is sealed with plastic over the chocolates so that they are in as close to pristine condition as possible. The tin is very sturdy and it close nicely with a bit of a snap. The chocolates are a mix of milk chocolate and dark chocolate individual candies. The mix is done so that if you have a dark chocolate soft center with raspberry satin filling, there will be a milk chocolate version of the same candy. The great part about Ethel M’s Signature Collection is that there is a photo chart on the bottom of the tin with photos of each candy type inside and a description of what’s inside each candy. You can easily remove the liner holding the candies and flip the bottom over so you can choose your favorites (or eliminate ones you don’t want to eat).
REVIEW:
It’s been a long time since I had chocolates that were this “sinfully good”. I am a real chocoholic. I love chocolate. I know good chocolate. I have been writing about chocolate for almost 10 years. This is REALLY good chocolate. The chocolate flavor burst when I first bite into a piece is a swooning experience. The brand knows what it’s doing. I hope it never changes the quality since it’s impeccable. This is a great gift to give mom, dad, grandmother, best friend- anyone. It’s really a rich taste chocolate that they will love to eat (or maybe devour is a more accurate term).
Thank you Ethel M Chocolates for the most amazing “chocolate experience” I have had in a long time. This brand and its quality- and this specific box -won’t be forgotten! (And as an FYI, I have about 4 pieces left in the box. I am hiding it in an outside refrigerator for those “chocolate moments”.)
