It’s not often that I am so impressed with a beauty line that I pause and wonder if I imagined something that is amazingly good. When I have one of “those moments”, I put the brand on pause and give it a rest. Then about 4-5 weeks (or more) later, I return to test it again. At that point, I will know if my first impression was accurate and definitely worth a rave review or if I had been caught up in the fervor of a new product line. Interestingly enough, that usually happens in skincare but almost never with body products-until now.
I was sent product samples for review. Getting products doesn’t affect my review, but it enables the review to be done. It’s important for someone doing a review to be transparent and honest about the products they are reviewing. Those samples enable me to be able to actually test-drive these products and give you my thoughts.
I was introduced to this new line of body, fragrance and home products from Mangiacotti and I learned that it’s not only gorgeous in packaging, but is naturally based and made in the USA. It doesn’t get much better than that- particularly when you look at the ingredients and the smart packaging that make this collection of products sing.

“I’m so proud to tell you that our products are made in America and finished by citizens with disabilities.
My company is very aware the products we make today will affect our planet and future generations. Because of this awareness, we’ve focused our energy and resources on “greening” the Mangiacotti Collection. It is of the utmost importance for us to meet the growing demand of products that use recyclable materials, vegetable-based inks and formulas that are kind to Mother Earth. They are made with essential oils and plant-derived ingredients and never tested on animals.”
Michelle Mangiacotti, founder of Mangiacotti
The collection is divided into 2 sections: HOME and BODY. That might sound odd but it’s not. The BODY products have a specific range of fragrances and the HOME products have some of the same scents plus a few additional fragrances for a larger range of tastes.
HOME products include soy candles, surface cleaner, bath sink sets, and kitchen soap.
The BODY collection includes bar soap, Lip Repair, Body Wash, Body Lotion, , Hand Repair, and Hand Sanitizer Spray,
Gift sets span both categories.
Body and Baby products
Some of my favorite products from this line are the Mangiacotti Travel Kits! Well thought out and carefully put together, these kits feature items you always need but often forget in the rush of packing. What better idea than to snag a couple of “Travel Essentials” kits – each with its own uniquely patterned bag and with a specific scent: pomegranate, clementine, lavender, lemon verbena and “ocean”- a blend of citrus, jasmine, and lavender. You can buy the bag separately, or buy the “Travel Essentials for hands” which includes hand sanitizer spray and hand repair; or go “all-out” for the Travel Essentials for hands and lips with the hand repair, hand sanitizer, and mini lip repair tube. I found the Lip Repair in Lemon Verbena to be exceptionally soothing to my chapped lips after a trip to the fringes of the California desert recently.

Here’s what I got: the Hand Essentials in Ocean and the Hand and Lip Essentials in Lemon Verbena. The hand products are lovely and the sanitizer fits easily in your pocket if you don’t want to tote your bag along with every trip to the restroom. Also, the lip repair is a “must” year-round since winter weather = chapped lips and hot summer sun cause similar lip issues. These products are soothing and lovely to have on hand.
These kits make great gifts for friends, teachers (if you have kids in elementary school), gift exchanges, and bridal shower gifts.
Other items I received include Whipped Body Lotion and the Whipped Body Wash in Clementine. These would make great gifts for anyone including yourself. These pressurized cans of body treatments are amazing! Shake these babies up like you do a can of aerosol whipped cream and spritz it into your hand for use in the shower or bath (Body Wash) or to apply to your body as needed (Body Lotion). The scent really pops initially upon dispensing but softens within minutes. The fragrance range includes Ginger Lime, Lavender, Clementine, Lemon Verbena, Ocean, and Pomegranate. The fragrance range is addictive. And- to be honest – choosing a scent within a product category is challenging because they all sound so yummy.
