G’Day USA is a program that fosters deeper economic ties and promotes Australian ideas, talent and innovation in the U.S. In its 16th year, G’Day USA continues to highlight the power of Australian ideas through events including:
–The US-Australia Dialogue on Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific in Washington DC,
–The inaugural US-Australia Dialogue on Cyber Security in San Francisco,
–New in 2019, the Space Industry XChange in Colorado will bring together US and Australian collective expertise in the space sector.

 

 

–An expanded G’Day USA AUSTRALIA House at the annual South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas will showcase Australian creativity,
Tourism Australia’s Signature Australia Experiences event in LA will follow the success of the ‘Dundee’ campaign, and promote Australia as a world-class tourist destination.

2019 G’Day USA program will include a renewed focus on promoting trade and investment as well as Australia as a unique tourist destination. The organization has announced their 16th annual G’Day USA Los Angeles Gala presented by Qantas will be held on January 26, 2019 and honor three exceptional Australians who have made their mark in the creative industries,
Key Australians who are to be honored include:
— Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, to be honored with a G’Day USA Excellence in Film award in recognition of outstanding performances in films including The Hunger Games and Independence Day: Resurgence;

–Production Designer Deborah Riley, honored with a G’Day USA Outstanding Achievement in Film & Television award. The four-time Emmy Award winner is a recognized industry leader, whose work in set design and art direction has helped bring the worlds of The Matrix, Moulin Rouge and Game of Thrones to life.

–Legendary Australian singer Helen Reddy who will be honored with a G’Day USA Lifetime Achievement award.

 

 

 

–The Los Angeles Gala will also showcase premium Australian food and wine with a menu curated by Australian chef Curtis Stone.
