Allie Wentworth & Tim Gunn Dish on the Biggest Fashion Blunders for Spring 2013 — or ANYTIME!!

Author The Daily Shot with Allie Wentworth and Tim Gunn is amazing. I love the chemistry. But I love that Allie got Tim to address fashion No-No’s. REALLY!!
The key blunders are ways to add 5 pounds (or more) to your body. No one wants to look 5-10 pounds heavier. No one wants to look older either. Some of these styles or trends will do just that and one will make you look “matronly” and fatter. NO BUENO chiquitas!!
Now if I told you all this, you might kick me to the curb and say I am full of something unprintable. But when fashion maestro, Tim Gunn says it, you know it’s true.

A friend of mine lives in Central New York in the FingerLakes area. It’s a quaint area, not a lot of big roads, and while they get summer tourism and winter tourism for the Christmas holidays, generally speaking this is small-town Americana. It’s the epitome of what some would call the American dream– local schools within walking distance for most. The residents know the firefighters and police officers and most of the doctors around their area. People are friendly with other neighboring towns– and I mean towns, not cities like where I live. This area is not a suburb. It’s a town– a little small, cozy town with a lot to offer (except when it gets to be zero degrees during the winter)

Does Buy Brand or Generic Make a Difference in Beauty or Personal Care?
This video is from me! I am all about saving a buck and not paying retail. If you knew how I shave $$ from grocery bills as well as clothing and personal care purchases, you would realize that it’s wise to check out buying generic or house brands from supermarkets, mass merchandise stores and drugstores. However when that retail is the same as paying for a generic that doesn’t work versus paying for a brand on sale– and the brand functions better, give me the brand!

This is the return of Celebrity STyle Slam for Grammys 2012. Interesting because it’s been changed up a bit– to make it more interesting and faster reading for you. Also we have Nancy Lichtenstein who has covered Celebrity Style Slam before with me plus fashion designer Karen Starr Delloiacono to make it a trio of us talking about what came down the red carpet dresses/outfits that should have never left the showroom, house or hotel.
Here are five women who thought they were being edgy when they just went beyond edgy into either costumes — or just “what were you thinking” fashion mode. Some of them might have worked better without the accessories or accoutrements. Nancy, Karen and I –+ one tech guy– weigh in on what’s right and wwrong with these outfits.

Lark Lennox — Fashionista and Scam Detective– Strikes Again with Ash Virgin Sneaks!
Here’s why I love Lark Lennox.
1) Lark and I go waaaaaaaaaaay back– back before Facebook, Linkedin– back when there were newsgroups, forums and yahoo groups in abundance that were lively and thriving.
2) Lark has a love of shoes of all types as do I.
3) Lark has a nose for when something doesn’t look or “smell” right. Her fashionista sense of “which one is the real deal” is really acute

Plot
The majority of mankind has been evacuated, leaving just a few solitary drone repairmen remaining on the planet’s surface. Their job is simple — stand guard over the ruins of a once-great empire by patrolling the skies, and ensuring the drones continue to function. Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) is nearing the end of his mission to extract resources essential to the survival of the human race when he witnesses a spacecraft fall from the sky.
