Retro-Cool Vibes of Sinatra Come Alive With Michael Bolton's New Album: Bolton Swings Sinatra CONTEST and BLOG

It’s summer (well almost!) and it’s time to kick back and enjoy the nicer weather and longer evenings. Maybe it’s time to go "cruise" your local  "hot spots"  for a cocktail or invite friends over for  a casual party. Summer 2006 seems to be showing off a lot of retro-inspired trends including food, fashion, and even music!

Keeping with that vibe, Michael Bolton (supah-star singer from the 90’s)  has released a CD of Sinatra tunes that has long been on his "dream project" list.  This CD features Bolton’s favorites with a bit of his own interpretation of the tunes as well as a healthy dose of Sinatra-inspired  presentation.

Workin with Concord Music Group and Bolton’s own Passion Music Co.,   Bolton worked with top notch musicians in a collaboration that  is a distinct blend of Bolton’s own musicianship as well as Sinatra’s own musical genius.  With a spectacular band,  amazing arrangements by Chris Walden  and audio technicians like engineer-mixer Al Schmitt along with co-producer Alex Christensen,  as well as at the legendary Capitol Studios, Bolton laid down tracks that for the  most part  are an accomplished blend of his own personal vocal presentation and Sinatra’s key signature style. Some songs  work exceptionally well; others, less so. But for those who are Sinatra fans or Michael Bolton fans– or both, this will be a "must have" CD.

Songs featured include Sinatra  classics like “New York, New York,” “Night and Day,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “The Girl From Ipanema,” and “That’s Life,” and bringing in special guest Nicollette Sheridan for a duet on “The Second Time Around.”
