mark and Tracy Reese Partner to Design a T to STOP SMOKING! Fashiontribes Cancer Prevention Awareness Blog

mark has partnered with renowned fashion designer Tracy Reese to introduce a limited edition “T” designed exclusively to support the American Legacy Foundation, a national public health organization dedicated to building a world where young people reject tobacco and anyone can quit.

For the past three years, mark has worked with American Legacy to create exclusive accessories, the proceeds of which benefit the program.  This “T” represents the first time the three parties have come together to expand the reach and raise awareness among young women with this important message.  Tobacco-related disease is the largest cause of preventable death in this country, taking the lives of more than 440,000 people each year.

“mark is thrilled to work with Tracy Reese to support American Legacy," said Claudia Poccia, President of mark.  "In addition to sharing our passion for helping young people to quit smoking, Tracy also shares our feminine-chic fashion philosophy – so we feel this is a terrific partnership."

“Smoking should not be seen as a sexy accessory, and it is my personal mission to change that conception and build up confidence in young women so they don’t cave into peer pressure,” says Tracy Reese. “I’m excited to be working with American Legacy because they recognize these challenges and work alongside young women to fight smoking.  Partnering with mark will truly help expand the reach of our message.”

Tracy Reese has lent her sought-after style to design a black fitted v-neck “T” that incorporates sunburst symbols, dispersed between white piping.  All proceeds from the sale of the exclusive “T” go to support Legacy’s life-saving programs to keep young people from starting to smoke, help people who are struggling to quit and protect everyone from secondhand smoke.  It will be available exclusively through mark representatives, meetmark.com and in Tracy Reese’s flagship New York City boutique.  By buying the “T,” young women everywhere can become a part of Legacy’s circle of support, uniting to end suffering from tobacco.  The “T” is available starting in mid-November and will retail for $35.

Additionally, mark and Tracy Reese will expand this new relationship, when Tracy Reese guest edits an upcoming issue of the mark magalog, offering her personal style tips, which will also be featured on meetmark.com.
