Jim Bianco the Final Session with the Handsome Devil

Check out the third and final installment of the interview with Jim Bianco, singer/songwriter/musician and "handsome devil".

This is it! The final installment of the Jim Bianco interview.. the  wildest guy in music today– note that I didn’t say Rock & Roll since he’s more than just that genre. Take rock music with a heavy infusion of jazz, spiced with a little burlesque feel and tweaked with a bit of "Southern Boy" blue and soupcon of New Orleans jazz and a touch of his own witty, unique personality and you will nailed Bianco down pretty closely.

Grab a cup of java (or a martini if it’s that time of day) and listen to this podcast– it’s a good 20 minutes and been edited down quite a bit but still retains the Bianco "flavuh" and humor.

Handsome Devil the CD is as close as you are going to get to knowing the real Jim Bianco without actually being "up close and personal " with him (and yes Jim.. I really did say that). All the songs are written by Bianco and it gives you not only the snapshot into his mind but also his heart and soul. Give the guy credit for brutal honesty– but it’s sexy in its and HIS own way.  The Tennesee Wedding is a hoot and  Sorry  just busted me up because I knew it was him talking to some one– current, past,  off & on, who knows?– girlfriend . The funny thing is — every single word is true.

But this guy isn’t shallow- far from it. Most can’t get down that deep to reveal that much of themselves in PUBLIC much less to a woman. So the guy deserves his props.  Anyone who can get into Huston Person (thanks for the rec) and that Japanese writer (who spooked me out already.. shudder) is definitely got something going on inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs and maybe in the basement too. Can’t tell you what’s going on in HIS attic. I just know that his music while exceedingly burlesque, smirking and winking, trying to cop that mental "feel" as  he riffs along has more going on with creating tangible, emotional lyrics that actually suck you in faster than JT’s Future Sex Love Sounds. Cuz if JT can put it out there like that, Bianco’s so much farther ahead because by the time you realize what he’s said, he’s already esnared you.

Like I said, the boy’s got his mojo and he’s got it good.  And if you listen to that podcast,  well happy trails because it was all about  each of us dodging bullets.

He’s cute, he’s sweet, but do not think for a minute that he ‘s a "safe" kind of guy.. there’s a REASON why he’s called the sexiest man on stage. He’s  living out his thoughts and lyrics and ideas for real on stage — and on that CD.

Definitely worth buying!

Also if you are in the LA Area there is a HOTEL CAFE Anniversary party on 1/12.. and also the Hotel Cafe gig in Park City the following week with the entire gang and then some from the 2006 tour.
